This event is a fundraiser for Santa Ana based WISEPlace. This vital non profit organization has a distinguished eighty five year history of caring for homeless women by meeting basic needs such as housing, food, clothing, physical and emotional nourishment as well as vocational and life skills training. Their mission is to provide programs “that inspire, support and empower women to become positive contributors to the community”. Nineteen terrific performers will entertain you with the music of Life, Love and Laughter, in a program emceed by our inimitable Artistic Director, Tim Bruneau. The featured performers will regale you with some gorgeous love songs, the fabulous range of emotions from our musical theater heritage, a few favorite operatic arias, smooth jazz renderings, instrumental stylings, and much much more. This will truly be an evening you won't soon forget.



Our incredible list of featured performers begins with international opera singer, Suzanna Guzmán, who Time Magazine called a "devastatingly sexy, fire-breathing singing actress." Ms. Guzmán will delight you with her rich Mezzo-Soprano voice and move you with her skills as an actress. Rising vocal stars Melissa Batalles and Natalie Gilbert will dazzle you with their clear, beautiful voices and youthful exuberance. You'll melt with the hot jazz stylings of award-winning vocalist and pianist Yve Evans and thrill to the vibrant voice of our frequent guest soloist Dela Zimmer. Our Principal Accompanist, Denis Moreen will also get a turn demonstrating his glorious piano interpretations, and past and present soloists from the Chorale will take you from laughter to tears with their vocal interpretations. The soulful, enticing tones of Teresa DiPietro's cello will lure you, and the music and rhythm of the O' Jive Faction will stimulate your senses. And, oh yes...Maestro Bruneau has even promised to sing a few tunes from the varied repertoire that has made him so popular in various concert halls and hot spots around town! As the beloved Gershwin hit asks, "Who Could Ask for Anything More?"



With all this excitement, we probably should mention that this great event is a fundraiser to benefit California Desert Chorale, its Children's Choir, and its annual Scholarship program for local high school and college singers. Now in its seventeenth season, California Desert Chorale maintains the highest standards of artistic excellence as it continues its mission to entertain, enrich and educate the population of the Coachella Valley by offering high-quality choral concerts and vocal recitals.
